James is the Chief Executive Officer of Citivale. His role includes responsibility for the overall business of Citivale and investment strategy. James started his career with BNP Paribas in London in 2001, working in the investment team. He then moved to be a fund manager with CBREIM in 2003 working predominantly on high income funds in the industrial sector covering the UK. In 2010 he set up Citivale working with UK Institutions and private equity aggregating portfolios across the regions and delivering developments utilising a bottom-up asset management and development skills approach, but with a top-down perspective.

Rebecca is Chief Investment Officer with responsibility for sourcing and acquiring commercial property investments since joining Citivale in 2019. Rebecca started her career with BNP Paribas in London in 1999, working primarily in the national investment team. She relocated to Yorkshire in 2005 and shortly thereafter joined Knight Frank as partner in the investment team. She utilises her strong network of agency and advisory professionals to originate commercial investments on behalf of Citivale’s capital partners. She is responsible for formulating a business plan for the acquisitions and ultimately overseas any disposals once the business plan has been executed.

Alex is Head of Development at Citivale. He oversees the delivery of all new built stock and strategic land. A primary focus for him is leading on the firm’s ‘Greenbox’ joint venture with Partners Group.

He has over 20 years’ experience in the commercial sector having delivered numerous schemes and infrastructure projects whilst at SEGRO, Severn Trent plc and latterly at Tritax Symmetry, where he led on their 9m sqft Hinckley National Rail Freight Interchange. Having worked in both the public and private sector, acting as consultant, developer, as well as landowner, he brings a well-balanced and focused view on how best to deliver commercial development.

Phil is a Development Director responsible for the delivery of construction projects across Citivale’s portfolio. Phil began his career at JLL in London where he qualified as a Chartered Building Surveyor. Thereafter, he joined Sweett Group (now Currie & Brown) in 2008 where he ascended into Project Management and wider strategic construction and development advice. Phil was latterly responsible for Currie & Browns northern business, encompassing four regional offices, across all professional construction disciplines. Phil joined the Citivale team in 2022 to service and expand the Development Management business.

Claire is a Fund Accountant and works predominantly on our Greenbox Development JV.

Claire is a qualified Chartered Accountant ACA with over 15 years’ experience in the property industry and joins us from Sterling Capitol plc, a property development company based in Leeds. Prior to that she worked on several UK and European funds at Valad Property Group and was also an Accounts Partner in the Property Asset Management team at Knight Frank.

Rachael is an Executive Assistant, managing the Citivale office on a day-to-day basis, whilst supporting the directors and wider team in all aspects of the business.

Coming from a marketing and business development background, Rachael has worked as an EA in a number of businesses within both the private and public sector. She brings her wide-ranging experience to Citivale to help make the day-to-day business smooth and seamless for all concerned.
